Reception with Artist Tonight at OSU Museum of Art

Tonight - stop by the OSU Museum of Art for the opening reception of Richard Tuttle: A Print Retrospective. An engaging conversation between the artist, Richard Tuttle, and the curator, Christina von Rotenhan, begins at 6 pm.

The exhibit will be on view at the OSU Museum of Art, 720 South Husband Street in downtown Stillwater, from February 8 to May 7, 2016.

As the first comprehensive survey of Richard Tuttle's prints, this exhibition reveals the artist's profound interest in the ambiguous and transitional nature of this art form. Since the 1960s, Richard Tuttle has created poetic, often ephemeral works which address profound issues of material and illusion of what we see and what we understand. Tuttle's prints with subtle and complex surfaces lure us into careful contemplation.

This exhibition is the second in the OSU Museum of Art's New York Project, a series of exhibitions exploring key New York artists of the past 50 years.  Read more about the exhibit: statemagazine.okstate.edu/OSU_Museum_of_Art_New_York_Project
